" What our buyers are saying"

"We have been buying Vale View genetics for a number of years now, initially from the DN Sale and the CQ Spring Classic Sale but most recently at the annual Performance Plus Sale. We have found the Vale View cattle to adapt and perform well and are always extremely easy to handle both in the yards and out in the paddock. PTIC results this year to Vale View bulls have been over 90%. The temperament of all the cattle that we have bought over the years has been impeccable and the amount of information that is available about each and every one of the Vale View cattle gives you confidence in buying their genetics and is evidence of the depth of breeding in their herd. Dave and Colleen have taken a genuine interest in our operation and have personally delivered bulls that we have bought to our property. It has been a pleasure doing business with Vale View."

Kevin & Leesa Woolcock - Mostyndale Stud - commercial & stud breeders selling direct to meatworks either as PCAS or grainfeed in own feedlot.

"We’ve enjoyed an association with Vale View since the early 2000s, when, as a very new small-scale operation we proudly purchased approx. 15 surplus VV cows to bolster our small herd. Such was the quality we came back again & again as soon as circumstances permitted.  Now running nearly 100 breeders, we approach Dave & Colleen almost every year seeking surplus VV heifers, looking to continue improving our line with the exceptional breeding they offer.  Joining our heifers & cows with quality bulls, we regularly experience a pleasing drop of calves, with great characteristics carried through.  The cows have shown to be dedicated mothers with good milk, consistently turning off well-grown calves at weaning, showing good muscling & great temperaments both in the yards & in the paddock.  As a family-run operation, cattle temperament is one of our key desirable traits; we need top performing, well-behaved cows who tolerate regular handing without jeopardising productivity. Vale View cows tick all the boxes.  We’ve enjoyed a strong buyer interest in our great-looking, well-muscled weaners once they’re ready to turn off & we’re proud to say those popular characteristics are largely drawn from their excellent VV heritage."

Will & Jo Garrett; Jerry Creek Ginger & commercial cattle operation running close to 100 breeders, turning off vealers to saleyards.

"Vale View genetics offer traits that are critically important to us as commercial breeders, such as temperament, fertility & doing ability. We have watched Vale View cattle perform on several types of country through a range of seasons & have been impressed with their resilience & productive capacity"

Richard & Sara Cox; Cracow Station (Vale View cattle were leased at Cracow Stn for over 6 yrs)

We have purchased 2 bulls from Vale View & 4 registered females since 2014, their fertility is very good, all animals are very sound with good temperaments.  One bull in particular; Vale View Xavier who we purchased as a weaner has gone onto produce exactly what we wanted him to do, he throws such a consistent type over any coloured or type of female, we have never seen anything like it before.

As beef producers who have enjoyed great success in carcass competitions & the commercial show ring for 7 years where we have won numerous prizes on both hoof and hook, we know how hard it is to find a bull that throws this consistency.  We turn off approx. 120 steers and 50 females direct to meatworks & the rest are sold as vealers. These types of bulls are producing us early vealers as well as grown out steers & are easy doing type of animals that handle our hard spotted gum and string bark country conditions quite well."

Brian & Lyn Thompson & family; commercial  operation running 300 breeders selling vealers or direct to meatworks & newly formed Topline Droughtmaster Stud.

“We chose Vale View heifers initially for their softness, femininity and growth. We were sourcing the best females we could find to build our own stud herd and were impressed by the overall quality and class they offered. A tour of Dave and Colleens stud confirmed our decision as their breeders are reliable, typey and functional. Equally impressive are their sires for the consistency they show in their progeny year after year. Vale View females now make up a valued and substantial percentage of our breeder herd. We have no hesitation in recommending Vale View as their females have shown themselves to be quiet, fertile, easy doing females who have produced us some outstanding progeny”.

"We at Kel-lee Droughtmasters have a policy of selecting the best females we can afford, to keep the standard high in our small herd of breeders in Far North Qld.  With this in mind we had no hesitation in purchasing VV X-Factor, sight unseen.  Dave & Colleen were extremely helpful fromm the first of many phone calls discussing our options & many questions & requests.  We cannot thank them enough for all of the after sales service & care to make sure X-Factor arrived safely after travelling well over 1500kms & for covering the transport costs, shows what a professional & successful business you run.  We again cannot thank them enough for the opportunity to purchase such successful bloodlines & are really looking foward to showing her & showcasing the Vale View genetics in Far Nth Qld & are looking forward to purchasing our next one"
